BRIC regularly host international symposia and conferences, covering our fields of research. For programme and registration, select the meeting of interest below or see earlier meetings held at BRIC.

Immune System and Cancer: From Basic Research to Clinical Application

LEO-BRIC Minisymposium October 14, 2011

Interactions of the immune system with cancer cells can inhibit, but also promote tumor progression. In recent years, more and more molecular details of this crosstalk have been revealed, raising hopes that targeting specific immune cell functions could be part of future cancer therapies.

The LEO-BRIC Minisymposium on “Immune System and Cancer” will highlight several new findings in this exciting and expanding field of research.

ncRNAs and human Disease

August 25-26, 2011
"ncRNAs and Human Disease" is an international symposium to be held at BRIC, University of Copenhagen. The symposia will cover basic, translational and clinical aspects of non-coding RNA and microRNAs. The conference aims to provide a multidisciplinary venue to discuss and exchange data and know-how on the functions of non-coding RNAs both from a mechanistic perspective and in relation to human diseases. The conference will bring together PhD-students, postdocs and PIs with an interest in non-coding RNA. With a blend of both biologists and clinical researchers, we aim to enhance networking possibilities and to promote synergy in this important and rapidly developing research field.
