Tandem Talk: When Patients and Researchers Shape Research Together
Join us for an inspiring Tandem Talk on the 20 November, which brings together the perspectives of both the patient and clinical researcher on how true translational research can work in practice.
This session will be a shared discussion between Bo Madsen and Tanja Wuertz Jørgensen, who will share their experiences working side-by-side on patient partner boards, where patients actively contribute throughout the research process.
Bo Madsen is vice president of the Danish prostate cancer research association, board member of the European advocacy movement (UOMO), and a patient partner working closely with researchers to improve the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer patients.
Tanja Wuertz Jørgensen is a Biomedical Laboratory Science Teacher at the Department of Pathology at SDU, who is coordinating patient research partners at her department.
Whether you’re a scientist, clinician, or simply curious about participatory research, this discussion will offer valuable insights into building stronger partnerships that make research more meaningful and impactful.
