Group leader Joachim Weischenfeldt appointed professor

Group Leader Joachim Weischenfeldt has been appointed “Clinical professor in clinical oncology with special focus on cancer genetics and structural variations” on 1 November 2023. 

Weischenfeldt group is interested in the mutational mechanisms and clonal evolution of cancer, in particular mechanisms of complex structural variants and the impact on 3D chromatin organization. They are collaborating closely with clinicians, to identify the earliest mutational processes in a tumor.
