In the fall 2013, BRIC joined EU-life, an alliance of top research units in life sciences. For members of the scientific staff at BRIC, the association provides access to a large European network; new collaborations, sharing of knowledge and core facilities, research visits and career building possibilities.

The purpose of the alliance is to support and strengthen European research excellence within the field of life sciences. Partners in EU-LIFE are renowned research centres and institutes that operate with similar principles of excellence, external reviews, independence, competitiveness, and internationality.

The goals of the EU-life partnership is to promote excellence in research, promote integration among European research institutes in life sciences, develop and share best practice in research, research management and training, to attract and integrate talents, and to favour mobility within Europe.
