Automated Liquid Handling

Classic liquid handler with a 384 well head and 2 individual tips. Works at room temperature with heating and cooling modules for plates and reagents.

Works with volumes starting at 5µL in 0.1µL increments.

Mostly 96 and 384 well plates, other plate types or tubes might be compatible, contact LASM for more details.

Examples of use are automated cell splitting, 2D and 3D culture fixation and staining, high-throughput screening.

Visit Microlab STARlet's website by clicking here.

Acoustic liquid transfer, allowing for tip-free low volume transfer of liquid. All transfers take place at room temperature.

Echo550 for all liquid classes 2.5nL droplet size.

Echo525 for non-DMSO liquids 25nL droplet size.

Compatible with all standard plate types.

Examples of use are compound screening, dose response curves, antibody staining, miniaturized combinatorial reagent addition, low volume PCR reactions.

Echo Acoustic Liquid Handlers | Nanoliter Dispensing

Peristaltic liquid dispensing in 8 channel or single channel format into 96 or 384 well plates.

Standard cassettes dispense in increments of 5µL, however 1µ and 10µL are also possible upon request.

Can be used at room temperature or 4C, on the bench or in a sterile hood.

Compatible with 96 and 384 well plates.

Excellent for cell seeding and general reagent dispensing.

Visit MultiFloFx's website by clicking here.

Diaphragm based dispensing into any plate format with extremely low dead volume.

Dispenses liquid in 100nL increments from 100nL-5mL.

Can be used at room temperature, on the bench or in a sterile hood.

Compatible with all plate types.

Excellent for addition of a variety of agents to plates where the Echo might not be appropriate, or for situations where the dead volume is a factor.

Visit Mantis's website by clicking here.

Flow Cytometry

High throughput Flow cytometer designed to run standard 96 or 384-well plates. Key advantage is there is Zero dead volume required, the complete sample will be acquired.

Offering Violet (6 filters), Blue (5 filters) and Red (2 filters) laser lines.

Compatible with 96 and 384 well plates with 1µL - 90µL / well.

Used for drug discovery/development, screening assays, biomarker discovery/development and characterization of complex cellular populations.

Automation Platform

Biosero’s GBG is used to link a variety of the machines to complete larger plate number tasks. This can be simple dispensing, staining, or various readouts. A PF400 arm is used to move the plates to the various stations.

The machines which are on the platform can be used with or without the arm. The following are located on the platform:

  • Echo550
  • Echo525
  • iQue 3
  • ImageXpress Confocal
  • Cytomat C2 incubator (37C, 5%CO2)
  • BioTek MultiFlowFX (slightly different configuration than the stand-alone version)
  • BioTek 405LS plate washer
  • BioShake plate shaker
  • BioNex HiG4 plate centrifuge
  • Plate hotels for up to 45 plates in a single run

Pricing is determined by which machines are required for the run.

The LASM facility now has an environmentally controlled compound/drug storage system.

We currently host approximately 500 drugs and drug candidate molecules with defined mechanism of action which can be used both in screens and in bench-scale experiments.

Users can:

  • Request aliquots of compounds for bench-scale testing
  • Request the creation of ready to use drug plates
  • Store their valuable compounds in a controlled atmosphere pod

Contact LASM (lasm@bric.ku.dk) to get a current list of compounds, inquire about specific compounds or compound targets, and pricing for your needs.

We offer arrayed CRISPR screening services for both whole‑genome and cherry‑picked gene sets. Thus, we can enable knockout or activation studies tailored to your biological question.

Our team supports the full process, from transfection optimization and assay development to data acquisition and analysis.
